Any yogis out there? I’ve been doing yoga on and off for over a decade but like most things unless it’s done consistently you don’t get to enjoy all the benefits it has to offer. I find this is so true with many things like getting enough sleep, eating healthy and finding the joy in green living. The more we do these things, the more they make us feel better, inspiring us to do them more.
Over the past 12 months I’ve fallen back in love with yoga. In my last post I shared how I got to speak about green living at a yoga workshop but what I didn’t share was I was at that same yoga workshop as a participant the year before, January 2015, which was the catalyst for me falling back in love with yoga. Since than my practice has looked anything but perfect. I’ve tried different studios and styles, followed YouTube videos, signed up for online subscriptions services, and some mornings just do it on my own in my living room. The point is I followed that good feeling and my curiosity and just did it. I didn’t let perfection hold me back; which is pretty huge for me.
In May of 2015 I went solo on my first yoga retreat to Baja Mexico and had a blast. After that experience I knew this was something I wanted to do more of, hopefully once a year.
I just got back from a yoga retreat to Sayulita Mexico and LOVED it! When I travel I like to take my green living practices along with me. So I thought I’d share my top green living yoga retreat travel essentials plus some photos from my trip with you.
