One of my Dad’s favorite stories to tell about me is, as a little girl I use to pull a wagon around the neighborhood collecting cans and bottles for recycling (yes this is before the days of curbside recycling). I couldn’t stand the thought of people throwing away items that could be recycled and have another chance at life. I’m a total optimist. It’s not like I was raised by new age hippies or the outdoorsy types, actually both of my parents are union workers and I was raised in the suburbs of Southern California; I guess I just never grew out of my childlike wonder for the outdoors. I love everything about being outside, the fresh air, the bright light, starry skies, all the COLOR, the list goes on and on.
So now 20 something years later here I am starting a blog to inspire others, and myself, to live adventure filled, stress free lives while connecting back to nature and yes, to keep recycling. Our amazing planet gives us everything we enjoy and need from the water and air we require to live to the cute tops I love to buy at Target. Instead of feeling overwhelmed by the state of the world I’m taking a stand to find a balance between enjoying our modern world and finding creative ways to live a beautiful eco lifestyle along the way…I’d loved for you to join me :)
